Alpha: Did it Change their lives?

sdfrost

In 2001, a 10-part British TV broadcast called “Alpha: Will It Change Their Lives?” featured 10 young people talking about their experience on an Alpha Course. Afterward, some declared they had become committed Christians, while others said they had embarked on a “journey of faith” or had simply changed some of their attitudes.

Then, in December 2007, a three-part series called “Alpha: Did It Change Their Lives?” showed viewers where those same 10 people are now.

Presenter Sir David Frost observed: “In the case of four of the 10, clearly the answer is no. For another three it’s a partial, modified yes. But for three of them, the answer is an emphatic yes.

“Billy Graham always used to say that if one in three of the people who came forward at his rallies stayed with Christianity, that was all he could hope for. So in that sense, . . . Alpha stands in very good company indeed.” Click here to read more about the TV series and participants’ responses.
